The Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign
The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the community. From the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's launch, to players developing firm views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its regular and Mega form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will defend their side unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Many past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its horn to collect it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which sounds very similar to a people-smart Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly considered as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a intense symbol known for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to make a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a show, even if for aliens.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the identical vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
