Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who breached a barrier and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed features clips of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another response on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had gathered in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, earning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
