An Australian man who vaulted across a fence and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been sent away and prohibited from Singapore.

The man, aged 26, was handed a penalty to nine days in jail for disrupting public order and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," the country's border control informed local media.

The man shoved beyond security and rushed toward the performer and artist, who was attending the regional launch for the musical adaptation on November 13. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

The individual has a record of causing disturbances at events and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year.

The occurrence caused anger in Singapore, with many accusing him of re-traumatising Grande.

The celebrity has discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist bombing at her performance in the UK city in several years ago killed 22 individuals and hurt numerous attendees.

In the legal process, the court heard he had tried to gain access on the film's premiere multiple times, according to local news sources.

He then made a second attempt to cross the barriers. Security staff stopped him and pinned him down.

The man subsequently shared video clips thanking Grande for allowing his presence and said he was "released."

Police detained him the subsequent day and brought charges against him with public nuisance, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The District Judge the judicial official was referenced by media reports as saying that the man sought attention, noting that he was mistaken to believe he would not experience repercussions.

Grande has not spoken about the incident.

The co-star discussed the situation to the press, remarking that she "just wanted to ensure my friend was secure."

"I believe he didn't mean us harm, but you cannot be certain with such situations, and I aimed to ensure that she was fine. That was my initial reaction," she stated.
